The most common method to restore teeth that have been damaged by decay or minor chipping is to place a tooth colored filling called composite. Once the damaged area of the tooth has been removed and the surface prepared a bonding agent is placed to allow the composite filling to adhere to the tooth.
- The preparation can be conservative allowing removal of the minimal amount of natural tooth possible
- Shaded to match the existing tooth to make it look natural
- Restores the tooth to function and protects it from further damage
